Provision of Rapid Intervention Vehicle for Fire Response to Malatya

The "Coordination, Needs Assessment and Pilot Activities for a Risk Informed Recovery from the February 2023 Earthquakes in Türkiye" Project aims to evaluate the recovery needs promptly after the earthquakes, leading to the formulation of a strategic recovery plan. The project also intends to implement pilot initiatives to showcase effective practices that can be expanded. The project will offer planning and coordination assistance to local communities, Turkish institutions, and humanitarian organizations involved in the transition from relief to early recovery. Within this effort, UNDP Türkiye will enhance the fire management capacity of affected municipalities and mitigate fire risks in temporary settlements like tent or container towns. As part of this initiative, UNDP Türkiye will supply a Rapid Intervention Vehicle for Fire Response to Malatya Metropolitan Municipality, contributing to safer temporary settlements.
