Description
The Malaysia HCFC Phase-out Management Plan (HPMP) Stage-II is a United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) supported initiative aimed at reducing and eventually eliminating the use of hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) in Malaysia. HCFCs are harmful substances used in various applications, and their production and consumption contribute to ozone depletion and climate change. The projects goal is to assist Malaysia in fulfilling its commitments under the Montreal Protocol, an international agreement aimed at protecting the ozone layer. UNDPs involvement includes providing technical expertise, financial support, and capacity-building to help Malaysia transition away from HCFCs. The project encompasses activities such as developing regulations, building capacity through training, promoting environmentally friendly alternatives, collecting data, and raising awareness about the importance of phasing out HCFCs. The projects ultimate aim is to contribute to global environmental protection, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and promote sustainable development in Malaysia.  Therefore, UNDP in Malaysia would like to engage a service provider to supply, deliver, install, and commission R32 Refrigerant Air Conditioner Units and training display standees with service training as described in the attached Terms of Reference.
